Another dream...what can you interpret from this dream?
What do you think of the statement that this world is "'heaven, hell, and earth all at the same time'"? Edgar and Trudy both seem to agree this this assessment. What does this conversation show us about these characters?
"'Maybe I'm tired of the smell of perfume.'" What is Edgar saying/implying here?
Edgar realized he has a lot to learn as a trainer, but he is "as good a groom as a person could be." How does this assessment of how he is with the dogs translate into what type of person he is?
What is significant about the grass being "as white as bone" where the syringe had broken?

Edgar is getting the hammer because he plans on bashing in the windows and ruining Claude's Impala. He now knows what Claude did to his father and he is furious. Almondine knows that Edgar is planning on doing something bad and he doesn't want Edgar getting in trouble so he tries to distract him. After a moment Edgar realizes he still has enough time to do it, but he knows it isn't right.
Edgar gets the hammer because he plans to hurt Claude with it. He knows what Claude has done and he can't keep seeing him around its driving Edgar insane. But Almondine knows what he's planning to do and she doesn't want to see anyone hurt or see her boy get into trouble. She distracts him so he runs out of time for his plan.
The significance of the grass being "as white as bone" where the syringe broke shows that whatever was in there wasn't good. It could show that poison was in there that Claude used to kill Gar.
Edgar has had enough of Claude. He knows that he killed his father and he can’t control his emotions anymore. He therefore goes to the workshop and grabs a hammer to attempt to beat out his anger on Claude. Almondine notices this and does everything she can to stall time so that Edgar loses his chance to hurt/kill Claude. Almondine is doing major damage control-she is saving Edgar from doing something that he will one day regret.
Edgar wants to use the hammer from the workshop to attack Claude. Edgar knows that Claude has killed his father and he wants to get his revenge by killing Claude. Almondine does not want Edgar to go through with his plan so she distracts him so he misses his opportunity to strike. The grass being as white as bone where the syringe had broken shows that there was something poisonous inside.
Edgar gets the hammer from the workshop because he either wants to hurt Claude or damage his car. Almondine distracts him because she can sense what Edgar is feeling and what he's going to do, and wants to stop him from going too far. The fact that Edgar is better at grooming the dogs than training him shows that he's the kind of person who has a hard time being stern, and that he's gentle. When the syringe breaks, it turns the grass white. Bones and the color white are often symbolic of death, and the fact that the grass turned "as white as bone" shows that whatever in the syringe was obviously deadly.
